Garmin GPSMAP 695 and GPSMAP 696 GPS has added with new chart capabilities. Its a new georeferenced version of Garmin FliteCharts which has funtion to view the entire approach plate of screen pilots into portrait style automatically. Those two GPSMAPs has a larger 7-inch widescreen so with portrait screen style, the pilot will be more easier to analize their plane’s position and also monitoring other tidbits info on the chart including celect the correct chart based on the flight plan to minimize from crashing. The new georeferenced version of Garmin FliteCharts will available around this 4Q of 2010 and priced at $500 at Garmin official site.
