Garmin just announced 1490T as the new model from its Nuvi series that appears with 5-inch wide touchscreen display. Garmin Nuvi 1490T capable to give more information about road with more comfortable view. It have slimmer body than the other Nuvi series for about quarter thinner on the back. It features new pedestrian GPS mode that allow you use it while you walking on the street as well as free timeline traffic updates and also multi-route prediction plus lane guidance. It offer ecoRoutes that function to choose routes according to the most fuel-efficient drive. It support Bluetooth connection for hands-free calling that compatible with your cellphone and allow you to dial a number via its POIs that view on the map. Garmin Nuvi 1490T available starting from July 2009 and sell at $500, you can pay additional CityXplorer maps for about $10-15 that function to improve detail in the pedestrian mode.
