Most Of Recalled Garmin Nuvi Series Having a Problem With Overheating Battery

Garmin is announcing the recall of 1.25 million nuvi GPS navigation systems specially for U.S consumers. Based on their information, most of Nuvi series having a problem with overheating batteries. Garmin Nuvi GPS device which is claimed that can be effected are 200W, 250W, 260W, 7xx, and 7xxT.
Garmin blames the third party battery supplier but the battery supplier has agree to give the replacing battery packs and Garmin don’t want to get the impact on their financial. But, according to the Garmin’s research, not all nuvi having the same problem it because “the third-party battery supplier within a limited date code range are used in certain Garmin nüvi models with a specific printed circuit board (PCB) design”. The interaction may cause the over heating and lead to a fire hazard. Try to check your Garmin Nuvi, have you already read the caution to prevent your device from damage.
